Account Demolisher

Overview

What Account Demolisher does for you, what it closes, and where to start.

Account Demolisher closes a Stellar account and sends everything it holds to an address you choose. Closing an account releases the XLM that Stellar keeps locked in it, which is the part a plain "send all my funds" transfer leaves behind.

You keep control the whole way. The app never sees your secret key, it shows you every step before you sign, and nothing is submitted until you confirm.

What gets cleaned up

Closing an account means clearing everything attached to it first. The app does that for you in one reviewed plan:

Attached to your accountWhat happens
Tokens other than XLMSwapped to XLM, then sent with the rest
Open buy and sell offersCancelled
TrustlinesEmptied, then removed
Saved data entriesDeleted
Extra signers and raised thresholdsCleared and reset
Pending payments set aside for youCollected into your balance
Deposits your account locked for its own entriesReleased back to you
Blend, Aquarius, Soroswap, and FxDAO positionsWithdrawn or repaid before the close
Token spending permissionsSet to zero

Where the funds can go

Any Stellar address that already exists on the network. Two cases behave differently:

  • A wallet you control. The account merges straight into it. See Close an account.
  • An exchange deposit address. Exchanges credit payments, not account merges, so the app routes the funds through a short-lived helper account that carries your deposit memo. See Send the funds to an exchange.
